BMW officially presented its new i3 car at the motor show in Frankfurt this week. This model bears a strong resemblance to a concept version of the past years. You may catch a likeness because the similar style of rear doors and a cabin.
The price of a novelty is expected to start at 42,275 dollars. The car will come on markets coming year.
The full name of this model is “i3 eDrive”, which means this car is electric. However, the model may be available with a gasoline engine.
Using only an electric drive mode, the car can move about 80-100 miles.
The i3 gets the powertrain includes a rear-mounted engine producing the output of 170 horsepower with 184 lb-ft of the torque and an electric motor –the 22-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery.
This car is an innovative vehicle, which is made of the reinforced carbon fiber plastic, the composition of aluminum and magnesium.
