90% Hyundai models sold in Europe will come from Europe
2044
Hyundai Motor announced that after the transfer of the production of a i10 model from India to Turkey, only 10% cars sold in continental Europe would be imported from other parts of the world.
However, it is important to clarify that it applies only to continental Europe because Hyundai models will be imported to the United Kingdom, Ireland and other countries with the left-side traffic from India. Therefore, if we take into account the whole European Union, the share of local assembly vehicles will be only 70%. The Koreans, by the way, remind us that most of the cars for the European market makes at the Nosovice plant in Czech Republic. There are models such as i30, ix35, ix20, and transmissions for Hyundai and Kia.
