A new hybrid SUV of Mitsubishi will replace the Evo model, won’t it

Recently, one of the popular SUV of Mitsubishi –the Lancer Evolution disappeared. However, we are expecting its return. Probably, it will come back but in another form. Now the carmaker is talking about the new SUV equipped with a hybrid powertrain.
First talks about the future novelty appeared at the Paris auto show, where the Mitsubishi certainly was.
Most likely, the Japanese auto manufacturer will introduce the new hybrid SUV based on the XR-PHEV concept that was presented at the show in Tokyo last year.
The future novelty is the XR-PHEV concept, which will be presented in the Gran Turismo, has the body made of carbon fiber and 20-inch alloy wheels; it is equipped with the plug-in hybrid EV powertrain working with the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox and the all-wheel-drive S-AWC.
In spite of, we are impatiently waiting for the introduction of the hybrid SUV, but there is no chance early than in 2017.
