A prototype of the latest Honda Civic Type R noticed in the US
Just a week ago, the Japanese auto manufacturer Honda confirmed launching of a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine equipped with the VTEC variable valve timing. And currently, we have already noticed a prototype of the new Honda Civic Type R on the U.S. streets as well.
The latest information about the novelty is revealed on some forums. In our turn, we are expecting the appearance of the new Honda sporty model equipped with the four-cylinder turbocharged powertrain in the U.S.
Meanwhile, before, the sporty Honda Civic Type R had been offered only other countries but not on the U.S. auto market.
The novelty will be available in two versions –a coupe and sedan. According to Honda, the new Civic type R will be able to meet the competition with Ford Focus RS and the Volkswagen Golf R as well.
Moreover, the Honda engineers are working on the next generation of the Civic Type R and at the same time, they are developing some technical features and other improved updates using in the novelty, they will be also used in other Honda’s models. For example, the first one may be the next generation of the CR-Z as well.
