Recently, we have noticed a prototype of the next Porsche Panamera, which is expected to come on the market in two years as a car of 2017 model year.
It is noticeable, the future novelty is wider and longer than the current model. Unfortunately, now it is too early to tell about the style and design, but honestly, we are waiting something similar to the Panamera Sport Turismo –the concept car presented two years ago.
The novelty is built on the new MSB platform, which will be also used in the next Bentley Continental and some models of the Volkswagen. That platform allows different configuration –the rear-wheel, front-wheel and all-wheel-drive.
Owing to lightweight materials such as aluminum, the high-strength steel, the model becomes lighter by 200 pounds. Certainly, the weight will depend on the version.
We are expecting the new Panamera Turbo version will be equipped with the new V8 powertrain. Certainly, the plug-in hybrid version will be also available, but now the auto manufacturer is working on the technology using in the battery to reduce the totals car’s weight but increase the power.
