BMW plans expanding its car-sharing program in the U.S. and Europe.
According to the latest news, the BMW manufacturer is working on expanding its car-sharing program “DriveNow” in more than 25 cities in the U.S. and Europe to attract new young potential customers.
The official representative of this program said that the carmaker planned to find about from 10 to 15 new places among the European cities and 10 locations in the United States as well.
New car-sharing program’s locations give new opportunities to attract new buyers. The DriveNow program currently includes most vehicles such as Mini and the 1-series of BMW. There are nearby 240,000 consumers. In addition, this program collaborates with most car-hiring companies in German and the U.S.
Participating this program gives the BMW manufacturer to attract new customers, who firstly rent a car just to transfer from one point to another but then they start planning to buy a vehicle; when younger drivers get married and make families in the future.
However, there is the competition too. Now the Daimler’s program “Car2Go” provides similar service offering two-seat Smart.
