BMW plans to increase production of the i3 model because the growth of demand in the U.S.
Currently the electric cars sales are small enough though we are expecting the increase of demand in the future.
If we are talking about the i3 model so the small electric car with four seats is not common for the U.S. However, if we add the futuristic design and stylish look the demand for this model will increase.
According to the BMW carmaker’s statement, it plans to increase of the i3 launching for the future selling on the U.S. auto market.
Currently, the auto manufacturer launches 70 cars per day for meeting demand on the European market, but when the daily production rises to 100 cars, the carmaker will be able to meet demand on the American market too.
This year the carmaker has already launched about 5,000 models but there are about 11,000 orders for the i3. Thus if the BMW increases production the annual launching will be about 20,000 i3 cars.
The representative of BMW said that the U.S. was the largest market for the i3 model. And if the demand went on growing up it would be bright opportunity for the unusual electric car.
