BMW will text autonomous vehicles in China
Recently, both largest auto manufacturers Mercedes and Audi have been confirmed for testing of the autonomous vehicles in California. While the BMW Company has decided to test such cars on the Chinese roads.
BMW tested its autonomous cars in Europe but now the carmaker is interested in conducting tests in China, where there is an opportunity to test cars in conditions of stations, national borders, tunnels and the multi-level roads.
The automaker plans to test its autonomous models during two years with some prototypes equipped with camera sensors, radar, GPS and digital maps as well.
The main reason for producing the autonomous cars is in the reducing of accidents caused by human mistakes in driving. Moreover, the autonomous driving is able to allow efficient and comfortable trips.
Currently, only Mercedes has the autonomous car in the world. Cadillac hopes to launch its own one by 2017. Both BMW and Audi plan to launch the semi-autonomous vehicles by the end of the decade.
