Bentley designer critical of Lincoln Continental resigns

Luc Donckerwolke, the designer who freely shamed the Lincoln Continental theory as a clear Bentley Flying Spur knockoff, h-AS stepped down from his post as Director of Design at Bentley.
The details surrounding Donckerwolke's departure stay a puzzle only at that point, with Bentley just saying that he "chose to depart the company" and Bentley parent Volkswagen. Although unsubstantiated, it is feasible that Donckerwolke's outburst over the Lincoln Continental was at least partly responsible for his ouster. In March of the year Donckerwolke took to Social Media Giant Facebook to chide the look of the Continental theory. "I could have called it Flying Spur theory and held the four-round lights," he posted. Donckerwolke also experienced a electronic spat with Lincoln chief designer David Woodhouse, sarcastically inquiring "Do you need us to deliver the item tooling?" on Woodhouse's individual Facebook page. Whatever the reason because of his departure, Donckerwolke is likely to be succeeded by Stefan Sielaff, who's now Head of Volkswagen Team Interior Planning and Style Director at Volkswagen Design Center Potsdam. Sielaff h-AS been with Volkswagen for over 25 25 years, with most of the time spent in the auto-maker Audi office."Bentley is entering among the main periods in the organization 's history, with major plans for brand new versions," Wolfgang Durheimer, Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer at Bentley Motors, stated. "Along with his expertise, innovative vision and enthusiasm for the Bentley brand Stefan Sielaff is completely set to direct the look of our potential designs." Photography by Drew Johnson.
