Cadillac ATS coupe
First, we saw the new Cadillac ATS coupe at the show in Detroit this year. However, the auto manufacturer has been ready to roll out the novelty on the streets by this summer. And finally, the carmaker has recently announced prices for its new coupe. The new coupe with two doors is planned to cost from 38,990 dollars that more by 6,000 dollars than the ATS sedan of the same model year.
Both versions –a sedan and a coupe are based on the same wheelbase, but the coupe became longer, got a wider track and a lower roofline.
The wheelbase id 109.3 inches, which allows ensuring of back seats, the track is wider by 0.8 inches for better dynamics and the lower roof, which height decreased by 1.1 inches ensures a better center of gravity as well.
According to the chief engineer of the Cadillac automaker, the new lower roof helps to provide a lower center of gravity that in its turn conducts improving of steering response and reducing roll.
In addition, the total length of the novelty was extended by 0.8 inches to make slightly more angular look.
