Cadillac is preparing the CTS-V for the Detroit show
Cadillac is preparing the CTS-V equipped with an engine of 640 horsepower for the Detroit show.
Currently, the auto manufacturer Cadillac is working on its novelty, which is expected to come on the auto market next one or half and one year.
We are talking about the new CT6 that is a flagship sedan. Next novelty is the ATS-V available in both coupe and sedan versions, which has been presented in Los Angeles this fall. However, now, the carmaker is working on the CTS-V of 2016 model year, which is planned to be officially introduced in Detroit next month.
The first prototype was seen about a year ago. Then, we may say some updates that are included in the novelty. There are the four big in diameter exhaust pipes, pumped fenders, and the new vented hood and mesh-pattern grille as well.
What about the powertrain? The expected CTS-V is equipped with the 6.2-liter V8 supercharged engine LT4, borrowed from the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 of 2015 model year. The powertrain is able to produce the power of 640 horsepower. Owing to the output, the Cadillac’s novelty is able to meet competition with the Mercedes E63 AMG and the BMW M5 as well.
More details and information will be presented in Detroit next January.
