The suspect led police on a high speed pursuit through inland highways near Diamond Bar, California, but managed to to flee in to a sewer, according to CBS Los Angeles. The pursuit started around 12:20 p.m. on the northbound 57 Highway in Diamond Bar, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department authorities mentioned. The suspect was driving erratically and weaving around automobiles. The motorist sped down at least four highways through the half hour pursuit, colliding with several vehicles. It was uncertain if anyone was injured. The car started off-roading, driving through dusty gravel along some railway tracks. Around 12:50 p.m., the defendant stopped the car and took off on foot. The guy approached an underground sewer tunnel entry close to the tracks and seemed to run indoors. Deputies set up a border and safeguarded the tunnel entry with pistols lifted, as well as lifting manhole handles nearby. By 5 p.m., authorities cleared the place and suspended the investigation.
