Cops: Man killed by Houston police after car chase

HOUSTON - A person who supposedly directed Houston cops on a high speed pursuit Wednesday morning was shot and killed after crashing his car, in line with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.The pursuit and shooting were recorded on video by news choppers.CBS affiliate KHOU reports that Houston police say the incident started when a patrol vehicle attempted to pull the 25-year old defendant over around 10:30 am, but he refused to quit, and a pursuit ensued. After efforts to decrease the defendant's car with spike strips failed, the suspect crashed into two automobiles, then left the vehicle and was shot.A second unknown man was taken to a medical facility in relation to the event, in accordance with the station.
