Day care workers arrested for child's hot-car death

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Authorities say two Baton Rouge day-care employees have now been detained after a 22-month old girl was left in a warm car for approximately two hours and perished. Multiple information outlets report 4-7-yearold Shelia Newman and 26-year old April Wright were detained Friday on suspicion of negligent homicide in the departure of Angel Green. Newman possesses the un-licensed day-care. Wright is a member of staff there. Authorities say Wright and Newman utilized a day-care van to consider 16 kids, including Angel, to get lunch at Jehovah Ministry in Baton Rouge and forgot to get the the lady from the vehicle. Staff in the hospital told authorities Angel's body-temperature was 108 degrees. Newman had lately had her day-care permit revoked for having not enough attendants for the amount of kids. Read Source
