Many people are enthusiastic about their automobiles. But does the depth of such fire extend to your retirement account?
Electric car supporter Paul Scott is placing his money where his mouth is. Scott continues to be a strong environmentalist his entire life and a ferocious supporter of electric cars for more than ten years, decrying the price of gas powered vehicles in terms he describes as health, pollution and wars fought over oil.
New clinical issues have again showed him that life might be brief and he wants to take advantage of what time he has left, while he overcome that first round of cancer.
"For $10,000 you could attend the luncheon. I had something that could transfer the needle on this thing."
So he contacted the pda.
"I said, 'I am a man of moderate means can I actually speak to him?' The man said, 'Yes, two to three minutes.' So I thought, 'Okay, I am gonna do this.'"
The 32 grand represents "a big percentage" of that account, however it was something he believed he needed to-do.

Seems like a pretty fundamental message the President may have heard already from lots of resources. Is this truly the easiest method to acquire results? Will Scott actually speak directly to the POTUS?
"Well, I am gambling yes," Scott said. "I am really going to get in an area with 25 individuals, most of whom are quite affluent. That is pocket change to them. For me personally it is a portion of my net worth. I have info I feel will aid the government transfer the needle on this thing."
How is he going to stand-out in area full of politically saavy donors who are usually quite good at speaking up?

Scott motives that half the price of the luncheon will come from savings he is recognized after ten years of driving an electric vehicle powered by solar panels to the roof of his own home, an amount he pegs at $16,000. He also believes it is the only real means to deliver his advice undiluted.
"Those with lots of cash are provided access to political leaders, Democrats and Republicans alike, and those of moderate means are just heard in the ballot box. Increasing the difficulty is the utilization of vast amounts of money invested to pollute the democratic process with enormous slur campaigns full of misinformation and outright lies. The truth scarcely gets heard."
"He is conscious, but his folks aren't utilizing the arguments that I am utilizing," Scott said. I do not need filters. I am going right to the man."
Scott promises to reveal how it went and call back after lunch.
