Fiat Details New Tipo Compact Sedan 47 Pics
Using a name that has been used several occasions through the duration of Fiat's background, the Tipo now has a fresh generation. It was previewed before this season, at the Istanbul Motor Show, and then step-by-step by the organization 's Turkish division.
The newest Tipo is a compact sedan designed in Italy, by Centro Stile Fiat, and produced in Turkey jointly with Tofas R&D, one of FCA's biggest research and development facilities.
The Linea's successor has a range of three trim levels, with regular features that include 15-inch wheels, U-Connect radio with digital audio player, USB, AUX, 3.5-inch LCD, airconditioning, electric power steering system, electrical focused locks, automatic boot opening, electrically operated and heated side-mirrors, ABS with EBD, ESC with Hill-Holder and tire-pressure checking.
The next trimming adds 16-inch wheels, chrome-plated handles, body painted side-mirror caps, U-Connect 5-inch touchscreen radio, Blue Tooth, 3.5-inch TFT instrument-panel, Multifunction steering-wheel, electro-chromatic rearview-mirror, electrically-controlled rear windows, rain sensing wipers and automatic headlights, while the range-topping version brings 16-inch alloy rims, fog lamps, chrome-plated inserts, automatic climate-control, cruise-control and front arm-rest.
The auto-maker also mentions the McPherson separate front suspension as well as the inter-connected wheels torque beam on a corner, along with the engine lineup that contains four components, two petrol and two diesels, with outputs ranging between 9-5 PS (94 HP) and 120 PS (118 HP), linked to to a-5-speed manual, a-6-speed manual or a-6-speed automated transmission, with respect to the engine.
The 2016 Fiat Tipo is going to be made in the Tofas plant, in Bursa, Turkey, and will also be offered on the market in the EMEA area (Europe, Middle-East and Africa). No pricing details were announced, but the sedan is likely to begin from around EUR12,000 ($13,645).
The newest compact car will probably be offered as the Aegea in Turkey and will soon be followed by 2 more editions, a hatchback and an estate, next year.
