Ford Focus fails 'moose' test
The Ford Concentrate h-AS neglected the "moose check" performed by Swedish journal Teknikens Varld.
The check models what might occur when a big creature seems in the center of an undivided highway, requiring a fast swerve into on-coming traffic and then another fast correction to return to the appropriate lane. The journal indicates the Focus acts "down-right harmful" when fully loaded with with passengers and freight, within Ford's own requirements and Sweden's Transportation Company recommendations. The motorist did not get to the predicted standard of 70 kmh (43 miles per hour), as the suspension bottomed out as well as the chassis skidded in to several cones. After eliminating 287 pounds, the motorist could reach 47 miles per hour and documented that it managed "like a dream." 2 competing automobiles, the Seat Toledo and Nissan Pulsar, also done properly in the evaluation. The same evaluation formerly raised concerns within the stability-control program of the Porsche Macan as well as the rollover possibility for the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
