Fresh BMW 3-series of the next model year
Next year, the BMW automaker is preparing to present the updated 3-series. First, that model came in 2012 that means it will have some upgrades for its middle cycle as a car of 2016 model year.
As we have said, the model is in its middle cycle updating so upgrades are not expecting to be significant. The updated exterior includes renewed lights and redesigned bumpers. The interior includes the latest infotainment system and new trims as optional features. We may notice similar changes in the Sports Wagon 3-series on 2016 model year.
In spite of that, the information has not been confirmed by the carmaker, the new 3-series may be equipped with six-cylinder and four-cylinder engines. Moreover, some powertrains will be boosted by turbocharging.
In addition, currently, the carmaker is talking about a plug-in hybrid version, which will come with a four-cylinder engine and the electric motor. In total, the hybrid powertrain will produce the output of 245 horsepower and the torque of 295 lb-ft. Also there are some rumors about a diesel version.
The gearbox will be available in the six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic gearboxes.
