Hyundai previews entry-level Creta crossover

Just days after Hyundai supported plans to enlarge its crossover line, the South-Korean auto-maker has printed a monochrome teaser sketch that previews an upcoming entry level version called Creta.
The sketch supports the Creta is almost indistinguishable to the ix25 that is sold in China. Its front-end falls in-line with Hyundai's newest design language thanks to some hexagonal grille with three slats, sweptback headlights as well as a sculpted fender with three air dams. The sketch depicts a three door cross over, but the creation version will almost definitely feature a more family-friendly five-door layout. Constructed around a single platform as the Accent-sized i20 hatchback, the Creta will soon be offered using an extended record of gas- and diesel-burning four-cylinder engines borrowed from the Hyundai parts-bin. Fwd will come regular, and all-wheel-drive will most probably be available at an additional price on select trim levels. Australian web site Motoring reports creation of the Creta is planned to start prior to the conclusion of the entire year. If this is true, look for Hyundai's next soft-roader to make its community debut next September at the Frankfurt Motor show. Whether or not it continues to be earmarked for the Usa is an open issue.
