In 2015 we will meet the new Ford Falcon
We have caught the Falcon in Australia during its final testing before coming on the auto market in November of this year. Then the carmaker plans to stop production in two years and start launching sedans instead of SUVs.
The novelty is an updated FG Falcon, which firstly was introduced in 2008, but its predecessor –the AU Falcon was launched in 1998.
According to spy pictures, the model will get new changes in front and rear parts.
The Ford’s designers have made decision to focus on the brand’s design style as the Fusion and Focus have. The novelty is expected to come with new bumpers, lights and a new grille-shaped as well.
The new Falcon will be equipped with a basic 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, and then there will be a 4.-liter six-cylinder straight-mounted engine, which is usually used in XR8 cars. This powertrain is expected to produce the output of about 450 horsepower.
Most Falcons will be offered with only rear-wheel drive. However, the novelty will be also available with all-wheel drive as an optional feature.
