Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru expand Takata airbag recalls

Mazda, Mitsubishi and Subaru have issued another round of air bag recalls, subsequent Takata's acknowledgment of flaws in about 34 million automobiles.
The three Japanese auto makers are put together recalling about 710,000 vehicles worldwide, according to a Reuters report. Almost half the automobiles were marketed in Japan, including about 112,000 Mazda automobiles, 91,000 Subaru Imprezas and 100,000 Mitsubishi automobiles. The remaining models, all a part of the Mitsubishi effort, were offered in international markets. Takata's newest statement is likely to trigger another wave of recalls from most leading automakers. The 3 4 million recalled automobiles signifies almost one in seven automobiles registered in the United States, according to a car populace estimate from 2012.The faulty airbag inflators, which occasionally burst with an excessive amount of power, happen to be blamed for at least six fatalities as a result of shrapnel injuries.
