Mazda announces 2016 MX-5 Launch Edition
The MX5 Club has hardly had time to cool-down as a result of its its New York Auto-Show debut, but Mazda is declaring yet more news regarding the planet 's hottest roadster. The MX5 will spawn a small Start Variant version as well as the Hiroshima-based automaker has established a minisite to consider preorders.
The Start Edition will probably be restricted to 1,000 models. All will be painted Soul Red, Mazda's brand colour that controls a $300 premium on automobiles including the Mazda 6, fit using a Athletics Tan leather inside.
The vehicle may also come maxxed-out with high-end comforts -- 17-inch alloys, heated seats, automatic climate-control, Mazda-Join navigation and infotainment program, and a-9-speaker Bose stereo with sirius-xm satellite radio.
Mazda's i-ActiveSense package of security technologies may also come common on Start Editions, equipping drivers with blind-spot warnings, back cross-traffic alarms and automatic highbeams.
Also, for clients who had like to appreciate their MX5 even when not driving it, Start Variations should include a mobile Bose Bluetooth loudspeaker and clothing in the Heritage Line found in the Chicago Autoshow.
The web site LongLiveTheRoadster.com is taking preorders for the first 1,000 clients and will go-live May 5, at 9:00 am Pacific Time. A year ago, 100 models of the 25th Anniversary MX5 sold-out in 10 minutes.
