Mercedes M-Class will get a plug-in hybrid version

Currently, Mercedes is working on updating of its M-class, which will be also available in a hybrid variant. The carmaker has already presented hybrid versions for its S and C-classes that come on the market soon as cars of 2015 model year.
According to the carmaker’s report, plug-in versions are expected by the fall 2015, thus they will be considered as models of 2016 year.
The Mercedes M-class has to meet competitions between the hybrid SUVs such as Range Rover, the Volvo XC90, BMW X5 and Audi Q7. By the official release of the M-class hybrid model, Tesla plans to launch its all-electric crossover.
We are not sure whether the auto manufacturer equips its M-class with the four- or six-cylinder engine. Moreover, we are expecting the car driving nearby 20 miles electrical only with the fuel economy of 50 mpg.
The S500 hybrid has different modes: the hybrid for mix powering, the E-mode for electrical driving, the E-save –the mode allows saving the charged battery in advance, the charge mode –the battery is charged while driving.
