Mercedes considering Audi allroad-fighting wagon
Mercedes Benz has revealed it's considering introducing a robust, large-riding station-wagon aimed directly at Audi's allroad versions.
The job is in the embryonic period of growth and execs have not determined if the jacked-up station wagon will be centered on the C Class or on the next gen Eclass. Regardless, the station wagon will get noticed from its standard-generation counterpart thanks to a clearly raised floor clearance, black-plastic trim on the wheel-arches as well as on the rocker panels along with brushed aluminum trimming on both ends. Power can come from your gas- and diesel-burning engines sourced straight from the Mercedes Benz parts-bin. Robert Lesnik, Mercedes' manager of outdoor design, informed Australian magazine Push the station wagon will come standard using the organization 's time tested 4Matic all-wheel-drive program. Beefy skid plates will safeguard critical mechanical parts on both ends of the vehicle, as well as the station wagon could send with Mercedes' AirMatic air-suspension system. Mercedes H AS disclosed when its large-driving station wagon will arrive. When it's on the basis of the present Cclass we would not be surprised to find it revealed at next year's version of the Geneva Motor Display, but an Eclass-centered version is at least a year away from producing its official introduction. Likewise, if the station wagon is going to be in love with our side of the Atlantic - where station wagon sales are steadily falling - is an open issue.
