NHTSA again expands Nissan Versa investigation

The Nhtsa has again expanded its probe to the Nissan Versa family.
The bureau began its first question in June 2014 after getting several complaints of interference between motorists' shoes as well as a trimming panel close to the accelerator pedal. One complainant submitted a photograph revealing the border of the panel wedged right into a shoe. Some proprietors assert the alleged hindrance has caused difficulties when trying to instantly change in the accelerator to the brake pedal, presenting a possible crash danger."As I approached the junction, I tried to remove my foot in the gas pedal, but couldn't, because my foot was put," one report asserted. "I used my right-hand to grab my leg and pulled tougher, promptly braking difficult, then backing my foot off the brake as I squealed and skidded around the corner."Other criticisms indicate an H-VAC relay actuator also can hinder the motorist's capability to rapidly implement the brakes. The bureau is running an engineering evaluation to find out whether a recall is justified. The probe now contains the 2012 through 2015 model-years, as all use the exact same trimming-panel layout and HVAC relay setup. Read Source
