New Chinese-Backed Californian Startup Atieva Plans Electric Car

The newest is Silicon Valley-centered Atieva which is apparently backed by stated-owned Chinese automobile giant BAIC.
Autocar reports that BAIC's electric-car off-shoot Beijing Electrical Vehicle Business intends to perform with Atieva to create a fresh range of electric automobiles, the very first of that will be previewed in concept form in the 2016 Beijing Auto-Show next April. The sole official advice from Atieva is the firm is "designing and developing a breakthrough electrical car." The firm also states that it sees it self as a carmaker, although perhaps not a conventional one.
Atieva was really founded as far back as 2007, by Bernard Ts-E and Sam Weng. Tse is a former Tesla Motors [NSDQ:TSLA] exec and Weng is the creator of communications business Astoria Networks. They may be believed to be working closely with several proven companies including German industrial large Siemens, Korean battery company SK Team and Italian creation specialist CECOMP.
Along with Atieva, there is also Faraday Potential, which will be situated near La and plans to unveil an electric-car theory at next month's 2016 Gadgets Display. The organization has also affirmed that it intends to begin creation of a power vehicle in a brand new $1-billion plant in north Las Vegas. Among the key individuals behind Faraday is Chinese billionaire Jia Yueting who runs a engineering firm by the title of Letv.
Afterward there is Karma, that has been formed out of the remains of bankrupt auto-maker Fisker by Chinese provider giant Wanxiang. Karma has affirmed that it is going to restart production of the Fisker Karma extended-range electrical sedan in a brand new plant in California's Moreno Valley in the long run.
