New Lamborghini Gallardo Squadra Corse Revealed
The Lamborghini Gallardo is ten years old and does not seem to be nearing replacing but there has been a new Gallardi LP 570-4 ‘Squadra Corse’ revealed recently.
The car takes its name form the new motorsport department at Lamborghini and is pretty closely modelled on their race cars.
It does have a standard LP 570-4 chassis with four wheel drive and six speed auto paddleshift gearbox with a V10 engine capable of 570bhp. It is lightweight with mainly aluminium and carbon fibre and is 1340kg so 70kg lighter than the standard model. It can therefore do 0-62 in 3.4 seconds and can get to almost 200mph at its top speed,
It has some exciting racing features too with a removable engine cover and a huge rear wing. It has Alcantara elements inside on the seat cushion, backrest and dashboard and a lot of carbon fibre parts although you can have more comfortable seats put in it you wish. It has a decal strip on the side with the red, white and green of the Italian flag. You can choose from black, yellow or red for the body colour. It will be debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
