Nissan is working on development its new Qashqai in style of Evoque
The auto manufacturer has shared its plans to launch a new Qashqai model but designed according to style of the current Range Rover Evoque.
The carmaker aims to increase sales in Europe due to introduction of its new Qashqai in a coupe version.
According to the official statement of representatives of the brand, the carmaker observes large automakers such as Volvo, Honda and Audi develop. Nissan is not going to stand still; the carmaker plans to increase demand for a new version of Qashqai as well.
However, the carmaker said that a new Qashqai coupe was still under consideration.
Besides, the Nissan’s representative confirmed that there were no plans to launch a hybrid version of Qashqai coupe because brand’s tradition powertrains had good enough fuel consumption.
As an example, the most fuel efficient Qashqai is equipped with a 1.5-liter diesel engine, producing 110 horsepower of output and consumes only 3.8 liters per 100 km.
First selling of the Qashqai of second generation was started in the Europe auto market last month.
Moreover, Nissan plans to use the high performance of Nismo to the new Qashqai in the future. Now the carmaker sells two model in Nismo version: the 370Z coupe and small crossover Juke.
