Pontiac Aztek gains traction with millennials from 'Breaking Bad' role
Several discontinued automobile designs, for example, Pontiac Aztek -- well recognized for the place atop many listings of the most hideous vehicles ever and for its part in AMC's "Breaking Bad" television programs -- find new life on the used car marketplace thanks to millennial customers, an Edmunds.com investigation found.
The Dodge Magnum station-wagon, which Chrysler discontinued in 2008, had the greatest speed of millennial auto buyers of any used-vehicle in 2013 through June, an Edmunds research of Polk information released to-day revealed. About 28-percent of Magnum customers were between ages 18 and 3 4, well over the sector average of 17%.

Youths find themselves tempted to the employed passenger van section more than any other, as about one-fifth of employed van buys in 2013 through June were by millennials, the information revealed. That is compared with 17% of employed sedans and 16% of employed coupes.

He explained vans provides additional space to get a young family and, such as the other vehicles on the listing, can usually supply worth after having depreciated.
"It is an extremely varied group of automobiles, but worth is quite much the major variable," Acevedo stated.
The Aztek, despite becoming panned because of its appearances, has proved popular among millennials. The Aztek had the sixth-greatest share of millennial customers of any auto in 2013 through June and has been among the 10 vehicles together with the maximum millennial discuss in four of the past five years.
Acevedo credits the Aztek's reputation in-part to its character in the hit Television play "Breaking Poor," in which chemical science teacher-turned-meth cook Walter White (Bryan Cranston) drove one for a lot of the show's five-time run.
Acevedo stated: "It is among the far-out purchases that we are visiting see more of with this generation."
Meanwhile, convertibles boast the lowest share of millennial car customers this season through June at 8.4%, by far the lowest share among section kinds.
