Renault-Nissan and Daimler carmakers plan to build a new car plant in Mexico

Both automakers Daimler and Renault-Nissan are ready to invest about 1.36 billion dollars for developing compact models and build a new car plant in Mexico.
This new factory is planned to produce annual capacity of 300,000 cars. First, the plant will produce Infiniti models in 2017, then, later, there will be launching of Mercedes cars in 2018.
Infiniti plans to launch three models at this plant: a compact crossover, sedan and cabrio, as well. Mercedes will produce similar three models and a new crossover developed jointly with Daimler built on the MFA platform with front-wheel drive.
