Subaru introduces second hybrid model
Subaru is introducing its 2nd-ever hybrid vehicle version. Following in the footsteps of the XV CrossTrek, the newest accession is known as the Impreza Sport Hybrid.
Subaru has yet to produce any specs regarding the product, but it is probably safe to presume the drivetrain will soon be distributed to the XV Crosstrek Hybrid cross over, as both are according to a single chassis.
That program matches Subaru's omnipresent 2.0L boxer motor with a little 13.4hp electric-motor, supplying a modest boost in strength (160 vs. 148hp) and torque (163 vs. 145-lb-feet) over a non-hybrid vehicle XV. Sadly, a CVT is the sole transmission choice because of the fact the electric-motor and gear box are one-unit.
Styling-smart, the Impreza Sport Hybrid receives modest upgrades to differentiate itself from its gas-only twin. While the regular Impreza has three distinctive sections that comprise its lower nose cone, the Hybrid Vehicle joins them into one big lower grille crosses the breadth of the front fascia, incorporating the two fog lamp bezels at every corner.
The red and white segments of the tail lamps have been inverted to get a lense that is bulk clear having a little D-shaped sliver of red. Around circumference of the chassis, new rocking chair skirts and with silver trimming that continues throughout the back upgrade the entire appearance.
The Impreza Sport Hybrid will go on-sale in Japan this summer. Subaru hasn't verified if the version is likely to make it across the Pacific.
