Tata introduces updated Nano GenX

Jaguar-Land-Rover parent company Tata has launched an updated variant of the Nano city-car dubbed gen-x.
Visually, the Nano GenX gains from a more contemporary-looking front-end defined by means of a strip of piano black trim in the base of the hood, revised headlamps along with a fresh fender using a u shaped air port as well as some of spherical foglights. The air port is not only for appearances, it is part of a new cooling method developed to direct more air-to the engine bay. The butt gets about the same u shaped air port seen at the start, new light clusters and piano black trim on the hatch. New paint colours as well as plastic hubcaps round out the outdoor upgrades. Tata hasn't produced any important developments to the motor, meaning the Nano is driven by a back-mounted 624cc two cylinder motor that makes 38 hp at 5,500 rpm and 37 pounds-ft. of torque at 4,000 rpm. Base versions come standard using a four-speed manual-transmission, but purchasers planning to go clutchless can choose a five-speed automated manual gear box. This indicates the very first time the Nano is provided with the automatic transmission, and makes it the most affordable automatic new automobile on the Indian marketplace.
The gen-x continues with drum brakes all around, although Ta-Ta highlights it is the the safest Nano actually assembled thanks in-part to the inclusion of side-impact beams.
The Tata Nano gen-x is available for sale now across India.
