The British TVR brand can be reborn
A Russian banker has sold the famous manufacturer of sports cars to the UK Company.
The Russian banker who lives in Austria, Nikolai Smolenski - son of a wee-known Russian oligarch, gave an exclusive interview to the British Autocar this week that he sold the rights to produce TVR cars, spare parts and use the brand and any developments a few weeks ago.
Nikolai Smolenski bought the British carmaker back in 2004 for approximately £15 million pounds, but hadn’t produced a vehicle under the brand since the purchase. After several fails to put a new model Cerbera with a diesel BMW engine into production, Smolenski announced to break production of sports cars and he would be use the famous brand to make portable wind generators.
