The Toyota’s profit grows due to demand for SUVs in the U.S.
According to the Toyota auto manufacturer, the company profit has grown up to 5.7 billion dollars during the period from April to June this year. It has happened owing to increasing demand for the Toyota’s SUVs in the U.S. auto market.
The delivers of Toyota increased by 11 per cent for three months; however, in July it grew by 12 per cent that could made the Japanese automaker to be the second seller in the world.
The full-year selling was reduced to 1.58 million cars in Asia, while in Europe, it was risen to 850,000 vehicles.
Meanwhile, the carmaker had to trim its global sales to 10.22 million cars because of the weak situation in such countries as Brazil, India and Thailand. Toyota plans to reach a goal to sell about 2.3 million vehicles in the U.S. auto market.
The carmaker says the quarter profit came up to 6.76 billion dollars. Only in North America, the profit grew up to 45 per cent.
The Toyota’s quarter income has left behind Honda, Nissan, Ford and General Motors. In comparison, the quarter profit of General Motors is 190 million dollars, Nissan -1.1. million, Ford -1.3 million dollars, and Honda got 1.9 billion dollars, respectively.
During the first part of this year, Toyota and its Daihatsu and Hino brands sold over 5 million cars in the world.
