The introduction of Audi Quattro concept car
Audi made decision to release the new hybrid Quattro concept before the Motor Show in Frankfurt, which will take place this September. They say that occasionally new is well overlooked old and our novelty is not an exception – it revives spirit of Sport Quattro of 1984.
This aggressive car will be a limited edition; accordingly, its price will be also higher than for another Audi model.
The vehicle will be equipped with a 4.0-liter V-8 twin-turbocharged gasoline engine and an electric motor, issuing the power of 800 horsepower together; and the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle gear shifters.
The Quattro hybrid will be produced in Neckarsulm (Germany) and we are expecting the first sales in 2016.
Audi focuses on four-wheel drive cars to increase the quantity of the all-wheel drive vehicles in the range, following such auto manufacturers as Mercedes-Benz, jaguar and BMW.
According to Automotive News Europe, the Audi brand will present its all-wheel drive Quattro at the Frankfurt Auto show this September.
The car will get the wheelbase of 2600 mm that increases the car length to 4500 mm, the width is 1860 mm and the height is 1330 mm. Changing sizes of the car provided additional interior space.
The new Quattro will get a powerful twin-turbocharged gasoline engine, which works with an electric motor, producing 170 horsepower. Running together, they will accelerate the car from 0 km/h to 100 km/h in 4 seconds and the maximum speed will be about 300 km/h.
