The largest auto manufacturer General Motors has built its first most powerful model in its history. The car is equipped with a powertrain producing the output of 650 horsepower and the torque of 650 lb-ft.
Certainly we are talking about the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06, which will be available in both convertible and coupe version on the U.S. market.
More attentively about the powertrain. The unit is the 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V8 engine that has the top power at 6,400 rpm and the top torque at 3,600 rpm.
The 2015 Corvette Z06 has left behind the latest generation of ZR1 by nearby 7.5 per cent; it is more than 12 horsepower as well.
According to the carmaker, next Corvettes are planned to assemble at the New York’s Tonawanda factory of General Motors.
The 2015 Corvette Z06 is planned to come on sale not earlier than next year.
