The new Chevrolet Camaro of 2016 model year grows up
According to the auto manufacturer’s reports, the new generation of Camaro will look similar to the present model but become a little bit bigger. Moreover, the 2016 Camaro will be equipped with a new four-cylinder engine.
The novelty will be built on the Alpha –the platform developed by General Motors. This platform include a long wheelbase that is the same as the Cadillac CTS has.
The new Camaro of 2016 model year has the longer wheelbase by 2.3 inches than the present version.
The novelty will meet competitors between Mazda MX-5 Miata and the Subaru BRZ.
The 2016 Camaro will get the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which issues the output of 272 horsepower with the torque of 295 lb-ft. Certainly, the new model will be available with V8 and V8, as well.
Probably, the automaker plans to improve the powertrain in the future to match with the 2.3-liter engine of Ford that issues the power of 305 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque.
We are waiting for the official debut of the new model early the upcoming year; the vehicle will be rolled out for sale in 2015, too.
