The sales record of Nissan with its latest Leaf EV on the European auto market
According to the growth of demand for the Nissan Leaf in Europe, the auto manufacturer Nissan is expecting to get the record selling of the next version of the Leaf EV of 2015 model year.
The carmaker plans the 2015 Leaf sales will increase by 25 percent in Europe this year.
According to the automaker, this October, the sales of Leaf got 12,655 cars that was more by 40 percent on the European auto market.
One of the main reason of good selling of the Leaf is a low price since the model appeared about five years ago.
In addition, the price became lower because the Nissan automaker started the Leaf production oriented for the European customers in the UK last year.
In Europe, the Leaf is offered for 4,066 euros that is compatible with other cars if the compact vehicle segment such as Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf.
Moreover, the auto manufacturer has recently started production go the electric variant of the NV200 minivan, which takes around 20 percent of the Nissan’s EV cars selling in Europe. The new van is assembled at the brand’s plant in Barcelona. That factory is expected to produce about 63,000 vans annually.
