2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO Reviews
Responsiveness of automatic transmissions and the shift operation have gotten quite good lately. We favor guides, obviously, but a great set of a fast and paddle shifters -shifting sport mode--and, rather, dual clutches instead of a torque converter--can sometimes enable one to weave a story that is thrilling.
The reality is that businesses must fit automatic transmissions for their sports cars path-oriented variations, if they expect to reach over small sales. Such is true for Nissan's new 2015 370Z NISMO, which we only drove with its recently accessible seven-speed automatic transmission for the very first time. Along with other nods to cushification and an optional navigation system, the automatic was added to the NISMO version for 2015 to expand its appeal beyond the hardcore weekend racers formerly targeted by Nissan. The transmission itself is the same one -NISMO 370Z versions, although the rear differential's final drive ratio was shortened for faster off-the-line punch. It's two operating modes, Manual and Drive, with manual gear selection performed via long, arcing shift paddles or another shifter gate.
