Toyota promises next-gen Prius coming 'soon'
Toyota has downplayed rumors that its next generation Prius is is continuous to manage development postponements.
Previous reports indicate the redesigned hybrid vehicle was initially slated to be released this spring, but attempts to optimize fuel economy supposedly pushed the project again by about six months or more. Toyota North America leader Jim Lentz highlights that the primary three Prius generations each had a typical lifecycle of six years. He declined to inform Detroit Free Press a particular launch day, but apparently gave strong hints that Toyota will reveal the newest version prior to the conclusion of the year."I 've pushed it. It is amazing," the exec said. Added details remain uncertain, though Lentz indicates the redesigned version will borrow competitive design cues in the C-HR idea (pictured). Additionally it is believed to offer significantly enhanced treatment, thanks in-part to your lowered center of gravity. Preceding reports hint at two battery choices and possibly an all-wheel-drive variation, indicating the Prius family will increase to contain a broader variety of prices and bundles. Lentz's hints indicate the fourth generation Prius might be unveiled in the Tokyo Motor Show in October or the Los Angeles Auto-Show the next month.
