Valeo expects automakers to embrace its electric supercharger

Valeo anticipates many car companies to adopt its electrical forced induction technologies, that will probably make its debut in the Audi SQ7 TDI.

Valeo has allegedly provided its electrical compressor prototypes to a number of car companies for screening, but Audi is now the sole customer to have openly supported production intent up to now. Corporations seem to need a revamped electric system to generate the compressor, and Audi intends to use 4-8-volt alternators in approaching vehicles to support such technology. Audi last year indicated the SQ7 TDI will get to 2016, but Valeo factors to a more conservative time frame of 2017-2019.
