Court records suggest Tonya Slaton of Richmond was indicted Feb. 1 in Hampton Circuit Court on a charge of 2nd-degree murder in the death of her son, Quincy Jamar Davis. The indictment alleges Slaton killed Davis between July 2 4, 2004, and July 2 4, 2005. The Virginian Pilot reviews that Davis would have been 14 or 15 years old at that time. Human remains discovered in a car Slaton was driving on Interstate 6 4 in Hampton in June were determined as Davis'. The medical examiner hasn't discovered the killer. Authorities say Davis was never documented lost. Slaton was formerly charged with concealment of a dead-body in terms of the passing of her son, but those charges were dropped Tuesday, reports CBS affiliate WTVR.Cops said no one had observed Quincy Davis since about 2004. Quincy was Registered at Virginia Beach Middle-School in September of 2001 and withdrew two years after, according to public-school authorities. Authorities said he was last seen when he was in the 7th grade. Richmond and Hampton research warrant affidavits as well as other courtroom records confirmed how a basic traffic stop along I-6 4 disclosed a poorly decomposed human anatomy stashed in the trunk of a Slaton's car.A following inquest revealed the automobile "wasn't filed in Va as well as the license plates on the vehicle are not located on file together with the DMV," according to the affidavit. The trooper started impounding the vehicle."Through the stock of the car, Trooper . . . Found a black trash bag in the luggage compartment . . . There was a strong smell of rotting flesh permeating in the tote." The body in the luggage compartment was double-bagged and sealed with duct tape. Slaton supposedly threw some wear along with the tote, declaring the bag included only clothing. The trooper also found a large white spot on the floorboard supporting the driver's seat. "When challenged, (she) clarified that she spilled some bleach."After obtaining a search warrant, documents reveal troopers discovered Quincy's physique in two plastic bags wrapped in duck tape concealed in the trunk. Quincy Davis isn't Slaton's only-child, State Police say she also comes with an adult son. Slaton formerly served almost four years in jail for a 2007 event where she fired four gunshots at her boy friend's front entrance, WTVR reports. She arrives in court for the murder charge after this month. Read Source
