Volkswagen presents its new racecar ahead of the next motorsport season
Volkswagen has been prepared for the World Rally Championship this year; the automaker has produced the Pole R WRC.
The novelty will be presented at the brand’s headquarters in Wolfsburg and soon after the model takes part in the Rally in Monte Carlo.
The 2015 Polo R WRC is based on a subcompact Polo model but equipped with some necessary features, borrowed from WRC models of both 2013 and 2014 years.
The car was updated by 75 percent in technical characteristics. The main change is the new paddle-shifted transmission. Moreover, each features are optimized to make the novelty to be stronger, lighter and simpler.
The new racecar is equipped with the 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbocharged powertrain, which is able to produce the output of 300 horsepower as well.
We are sure, all fans of the rally will be really satisfied by the novelty produced by Volkswagen this year.
