Volvo is launching the XC90 hybrid in 2 years

The Volvo Company is working on development of plug-in hybrid version of its diesel and gasoline XC90. However, the diesel hybrid vehicle will come only in the European market, other car markets will be satisfied with gasoline V6 and V8 engines.
The hybrid cars are equipped with the four-cylinder engine producing the power of 300 horsepower; the total output of the powertrain including the electric motor is 400 horsepower with the torque of 490 lb-ft.
We should not forget about the fuel consumption. The XC90 SUV plug-in hybrid is expected to consume about 117 mpg.
The auto manufacturer has introduced its new XC90 hybrid this year. Besides, the carmaker mentioned about the near launching of the Coupe concept, which will get new aggressive appearance and many innovative technologies inside.
