1977 Volvo 245DL 'Special Ordered From Volvo' Exotic Classics is pleased to present this vintage 1977 Volvo 245DL Estate. It is featured in Cascade white with a burgundy interior. This vintage Volvo Estate is powered by a 4 cylinder in line liquid cooled gasoline engine with a 4-speed manual overdrive transmission. It produces 102 bhp at 5200 rpm and 114 lb ft of torque at 2500 rpm. The original MSRP of this Volvo Estate in 1977 was $7,940. It is equipped with four-wheel power-assisted disc brakes, power-assisted rack and pinion steering, electric rear window defroster, rear window wiper and washer, infinitely adjustable front bucket seats, vinyl upholstery, lumbar support and see-thru head restraints, windshield antenna and stereo speakers, 12-outlet heating and ventilation system, 3 speed thematically controlled fan, four e-point self-adjusting safety belts, energy-absorbing unit body, two factory undercoats, bulb integrity sensor, childproof rear door locks, full interior carpeting, under floor compartment, illuminated locking glove compartment. In August 1974, Volvo presented a new generation of cars called the 240 and 260 Series, which were produced through the 1993 model year. Just under a million were produced, 959,151 to be precise. This very rare Volvo was produced in limited quantities and was built at Volvo's main plant in Gothenburg, Sweden.It was shipped to the port in Chesapeake, Virginia in June 1977. These new models had been developed from the 140 series and were very similar to their predecessors. The changes included a new front, large bumpers and a developed chassis, featuring a front-wheel suspension system of the McPherson type. The new Volvo car family had been developed with rigorous safety requirements.
