The model 387 of Peterbilt is the highest class of a three-axle line haul truck, equipped with the latest generation of aerodynamic cabs. The spacious and ergonomic cab interior provides plenty of legroom, swivel seats, dual armrests and easy access to switches and power controls for added comfort and convenience. It ensures a smooth transition from the side surfaces of a cab to a sleeper. The weight of the Peterbilt 387 is 23.6 tons; they can be also used as a tractor and trailer rig up to 56.7 tons.
Trucks are equipped with Cummins ISM, ISX and Caterpillar C12, C15 diesel engines, producing 330-565 horsepower. They have only manual gearboxes from 9- to 18-speed.
