It really used to be that every new version of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution had an unique number. And many people lost count, plus it even appears that Mitsubishi themselves have, since the newest Evo is merely the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (with an MR form), which includes the tagline "Defy Physics".
