2016 BMW X1 model update
Not long time ago, the BMW manufacturer presented its X1 model, which is expected to be updated soon. There is a prototype of it there.
This prototype is shorter and sportier than the present model. As we know, the current model is built on the 1-sries platform and has rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The future novelty is planned to be front-wheel-drive car and that is why probably it is based on the platform UKL, which was used in the latest Mini Cooper.
This platform implies the front-wheel-drive but vehicles based on it also are available to get all-wheel-drive due to the Haldex multi plate system.
The new X1 is expected to be equipped with a four-cylinder transverse mounting engine for the American auto market and a new three-cylinder engine for other countries. The transverse mounting engine undoubtedly will save spacious inside of a car.
The novelty probably will be introduced next year as a model of 2015 and soon this renewed X1 will come in the markets.
