BMW will present its new model 7-Series
You will be glad to know some fresh details about the next generation of BMW sedan 7-series. The auto manufacturer gave the code name its future novelty as G11.
We will see the novelty on sale at the end of 2015 or the beginning of 2016 because the new sedan of 7-series is expected to launch as a model of 2016.
This G11 became sportier and got a lower and wider front part than the previous model.
In addition, the new model gets a longer wheelbase and new exhaust pipes.
The future model will get a lighter construction due to using materials such as carbon fiber and aluminum with steel. Thereby the car loses about 300 – 400 pounds of weight.
New lightweight may provide better driving, controlling, acceleration and fuel economy.
The BMW manufacturer will offer cars equipped with six, eight and even twelve-cylinder engines especially for the American market. A V12 powertrain is planned to be a fuel-saving car owing to improving with modern technologies.
In addition, we will be offered hybrid versions of this novelty. The hybrid technology was borrowed from the Toyota carmaker.
Besides, the M version of G11 will be available with a V8 twin turbocharged engine.
The future novelty will be equipped with many modern assist systems such as self-parking and other features.
The BMW Company has started the joint development of a car with Continental. Their joint work will be introduced in the model of 7-series, which is expected to be produced in 2016.
In addition, due to the partnership with Harman, the new BMW 7-series will get the modern equipment as Wi-Fi connection; 3D maps, weather and traffic updates.
