Daimler to invest 13 billion to expand Mercedes SUV plant in Alabama

Daimler AG will invest $1.3 billion at its U.S. plant to improve production of Mercedes Benz sport-utility automobiles, making an added 300 occupations.
The growth of the manufacturing plant in Tuscaloosa, Ala., which has constructed Mercedes automobiles since 1997, is aimed toward toward building the firm's next-generation of sport utility vehicles, Daimler stated Friday in a statement.
